Used to Measure SPONTANEOUS motor activity in an open field by mean of photoelectric Infra Red beams
Our Infra Red beams ACTIMETER shows some unique features as:
    • A complete microelectonic controled and stand alone equipment to measure free surface movements (x,y) and rearing behaviour (z dimension) on mouse or rat,
    • In using 1 sensors frame, the system can also be configured as a “hole board”
    • RS232 PC link for data transfert (free SEDACOM software),
A powerful optional tracking system with 0,2 second time resolution and 1,25 cm distance resolution. This ACTITRACK option allows in depth analysis of rodent displacements and behaviour, using zoning possibilities, circadian, rotations, sygmo tactyl behaviour …
    • 32 Actimeters, including surface + rearing frames, can be linked and recorded together, without any interface board addition to the pc.
    • Each Actimeter allows the monitoring of 1 animal, or of 2 mice when using the ACTITRACK option

You will find more details on the LE-8811 Infra Red Actimeter system in the .pdf file enclosed

LE-8810 Actimeter includes the following items:
    • 2 x squared frames LE-8816 with 22x22cm of internal space, each including 16 IR beam cells on each side (x ans y axis)
    • 1 LE-8818 to support the 2 frames
    • 1 electronic data logger and control unit (LE-8825) allowing the monitoring of 1 or 2 of the above frames. The large lcd display allows to set up the protocols (test duration, sampling time of data acquisition, animal activity threshold …), and to read the results of the activity, either “global”, surface or rearing, slow and fast movements, stereotypic moves, number of rearings…. A last set up allows using the LE-8810 as a “hole board”.
    • It is worth to remember that each individual sensors frame can be set as a “surface (x,y) actimeter”, or as a “rearing actimeter”. Thus allowing one LE-8810 system to monitor 1 animal in the 3 dimensions (x,y,z) or 2 animals in (x,y) dimensions.
    • SEDACOM software for Microsoft Windows and the RS232 cables are also included

    Options:
    • LE-8813 transparent perpex arena (open field 44x44 cm)
    • LE-8824 Hole poke base for the Hole board set up.
    • LE-8823 Divider to monitor 2 animal in the LE-8813 arena ACTITRACK Software for up to 32 frames (ie up to 64 animals) via the RS232 port of a PC
