| Orders |
Orders can be placed by mail, fax, telephone, e-mail or through the eb-instruments.com web site. They must include an order number, the exact product model, its description, the name (written in full) of the person signing the order, his or her function, and his or her telephone number to enable us to make such requests for further details as may be necessary. Confirmation of Receipt of Order is forwarded to you by fax only; it must be returned to us, signed by a person empowered to sign on behalf of the company. The minimum order amount that we accept is 60 US$ excl of taxes. You can download the order form here. We reserve the right to decline any order for any reason. |
| Delivery and Transport Costs |
All orders are the object of Confirmation of Receipt of Order, with the delivery lead times. Delay in delivery cannot justify a cancellation of order or any penalties, excepted for public works contracts signed by EBI. The delivery lead times shown on the Confirmation of Receipt of Order are given on the basis of acceptance by return of fax within 24 hours. We make partial deliveries, unless the customer states otherwise in the order. Delivery costs are due for each delivery - the amount of these delivery costs is always mentionned on our Receipt of Order. The costs of “Express” deliveries are invoiced over and above these amounts. Wher an incorrect address has been given to EBI with the order, we reserve the right to charge for any extra shipping costs incurred. On delivery, check the packages carefully, and express reservations to the transport company immediately on receipt if necessary. If your goods arrive defective or in a damaged state, email sales@eb-instruments.com with the number shown on the EBI’s delivery bill, a brief explanation of the situation and relevant pictures. You will be emailed the steps for completing the exchange. Claims for damage, delivery discrepancy etc. Are to be made within 48 hours of delivery, Claims will not be accepted after this time. You have 7 days to report defective goods. If you are shipped an overage / shortage or incorrect goods in comparison to your invoice, EBI will pay the shipping costs to fix the error. Email at sales@eb-instruments.com with the invoice number and a brief explanation of the situation. You will be emailed further instructions. If the goods supplied are not defective and not suitable for the customer due to non-conformity with the order, missing elements, or other problems, all complaints must reach us within 48 hours as from the date of receipt of the goods shown on the carrier document, and before any use is made of the equipment. You will need to email sales@eb-instruments.com with a brief explanation of the situation. EBI must test all returned products before we can issue a refund or exchange any product. This is necessary so we are able to file claims on defective or damaged goods with the shipping company or other parties |
| Payment |
Payments are received exclusively through Checks, Credit cards for amounts less than 1500 US$ and Bank Transferts (you can download the bank information here). Credit card payments are subject to a 2% fee. Bank transferts shall have all bank costs charged on customer account and 25 US$ is charged for each transfert. Payments in advance or on delivery (ie to be credited on our bank account within the 3 following days of the carrier delivery, date shown on the carrier document) are allowed a 2% discount on the agreed price. Credit Card will not be charged until the day of or the day before we ship your order. First orders and new accounts : to be paid in advance of delivery. Public organisations (research and education) with traceable credit rating are granted ŕ 30 days (net from invoicing date) credit for the next orders. For such cases a postal order complete with all dully authorised signatures needs to be received. Late payments will be automatically charged with an interest rate of 2% per month. In the event of payment default the customer will be responsible for all of EBI’s costs of collection including but not limited to court costs, filling fees and attorney fees. | Prices, Discounts and Conditions, Returned Goods |
The prices shown on our quotes are Net. In case of goods imported from abroad, they are based on the possible currency exchange rate mentionned on the estimate, and may be adjusted if the variation of the exchange rate exceeds +-2% at the time of the order confirmation. We forward confirmation of receipt of your orders and all orders thus confirmed are delivered at the price shown. Check the packages carefully on receipt, and express reservations to the transport company immediately if necessary. If the goods are NOT defective and you wish to return them, you have 7 days from when the package arrives and you will need to sales@eb-instruments.com with a brief explanation of the situation. No complaints notified after this period are taken into account. All returns must be made under an acceptance number given by EBI. If they correspond to an order delivered correctly, a 20% charge is made on all goods returned to cover the costs of handling and returning the goods to stock. EBI must test all returned products before we can issue a refund or exchange any product. A refund will be provided within 30 days after the merchandise is received at our warehouse. The equipment in question must be standard and absolutely new in its original packaging, and the return carriage must be paid by the customer. Calibration certificates are not returnable. If the equipment was in contact with animals, it must be certified as decontaminated before being returned to us. Softwares:software that has been opened is not eligible for a refund. Opened software may only be exchanged for the same title. Unopened software may be return in like new condition within 7 days. Returned goods remain the responsibility of the customer until EBI signs acceptance of the return shipment. We strongly advise customers to use secure, signed for service for return shipping. If you do not receive an email response within 2 business days, you can call 727 521 1808 to report your case. |
| Guarantee |
All our instruments are guaranteed for 12 months as from the date of delivery, except for the consequences of normal wear and tear on parts, negligence, incorrect installation or misuse. The guarantee does not cover spare parts or parts considered as consumables in the industry, such as batteries, electrodes, cells, thermocouples, fuses, etc. The costs of carriage must be borne by the customer. After these 12 months, EBI can provide repair services for you, and it will forward an estimate to you prior to carrying out the work. EBI has at its disposal a calibration department whose procedures have been certified. For help setting up your instruments or installing software, please contact our technical support department. |
| Privacy |
We do collect certain information given at the time of your order. This information is not disclose to third party and is collected by EBI. We aim to offer a top quality at the best price possible, to do this we need to reserve the right to change the above policies at any time. All information is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protecting Act 1998. If you wish to opt out of any postal marketing please email your details to sales@eb-instruments.com. We can provide a full schedule of the information collected on an individual for a fee of $15.00, we will require significant proof of identification . In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 the information will be provided within 40 days of required level of identification. |
| Business and Institutions Customers |
If the goods are used wholly or in part for business or research purposes, we shall not be liable to you for any loss including loss of profits, wether direct or indirect, data, revenue, goodwill , or incidental, or consequential loss that you may suffer as a result of the purchase of goods from us. Any other liability shall be limited to the price paid for the goods. |
| Reservation of Title Clause |
Title to the Goods shall remain vested in EBI and shall not pass to the buyer until the purchase price for the goods has been paid in full and received by EBI. |
| Competent Court |
In case of dispute, the parties agree to binding arbitration to be conducted in Florida pursuant to the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The parties agree that disputes shall be governed by Florida law. |
